- Fly from K.C. to Portland nonstop, leaving at 8:10PM and arriving at 9:55PM via Southwest Airlines
- Settle in and sleep
at Lynn & Wendell’s

Thursday
March 16
|
- Breakfast at Lynn
& Wendell’s
- Visit Tillamook
Cheese factory
- Drive up the coast
to Cannon Beach and see the site of the whale
beaching mentioned in the Lewis and Clark Journals.
- Continue northward
to Seaside
- Late lunch at Barb
& Roger’s
- Visit the Salt
Cairns and get a little beach time at Seaside
- Maybe a short
trip up the Tillamook Head trail. It is the one climbed by Lewis
and Clark and Sacagawea who was expecting and carrying one son
- Evening meal in Seaside and stroll the Promenade.
- Sleep at Barb &
Roger’s

|
- Go to Astoria and visit the Astoria Column
- Visit Fort Clatsop and hike the 2 miles from 101
highway to the beach along the new Lewis and Clark Trail to Sunset Beach.
- Tentative picnic
lunch at Fort Clatsop.
- Go to Gearhart Beach to collect sand dollars.
- Back to Seaside for dinner
- Sleep at Barb &
Roger’s

- Pack up and depart Seaside
- Travel over the
Coastal Range of Mountains to the Willamette Valley and Oregon City
- Tentative visit to
the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in Oregon City
- Dinner and sleep at
Lynn & Wendell’s

March 19
|
- Breakfast
in Oregon City
- Visit Fort Vancouver, The Columbia River Gorge, Bonneville Dam and Fishways
- Picnic
lunch on the journey
- Dinner in
